TESLA IDEA

Hi, My name is Edward Bowles and I  am A firefighter in Oklahoma City. Recently we have responded to several kids locked in cars. This happens for various reasons and most of the time its no big deal although hundreds of kids across the country die every year. I was thinking of ways to prevent this. Basically how can we out engineer the mistakes people make. This made me think of TESLA. I believe that the simplest solution would be to have a number we can call to remotely unlock the doors instead of using our unlock kit, which usually scratches paint, damages door alignment and if its hot and the child is distressed we break a window. The biggest problem for us is time consuming and different technique for every car. The second solution would be that when the back door is opened and then closed and the driver door is opened and driver seated the screen pops up a question like, Did you place a child in the car? Yes or No. Then when the adult exits if they don’t open the rear door the climate controls stay on so the child doesn’t die. The doors won’t lock and the driver receives a text message. If the situation isn’t resolved then the fire department or a secondary number is called or messaged indicating the problem with a call back number incase this was a mistaken problem. (Kid climbed over seat to get out, Parent went into convenient store for a soda, People still siting in the car talking, Etc.) Anyway this was my thought and I would imagine it wouldn’t be to terribly difficult to write some code since the car has all the other sensors in place standard and the idea that a couple lines of code that could save a childs life would be a great thing for Tesla to invest in. Thanks Edward Bowles (This was a copy of the E-mail I wanted to send to Tesla but couldn’t find the right place to submit it.)
